Branding Through Blogging

Welcome back readers! As my last semester of college is coming to a close I though I would give you a little more insight on why I started this blog. This was actually an assignment given to me from a teacher, but decided to try to use it to my benefit and create my brand through my posts. Let’s take a look at my last couple of posts and see what I hid in them that tells you more about myself. This may seem like a lot of talking about myself, but I want you all to take what I am saying and see how it can relate to you!

Who is *Alex Jackson*

Throwback to my first post, where I tried to put everything out there that I thought you should know about me. My main topics were how being a student athlete and having some experience is how I like to try to stand out to employers. I even got a little personal and talked about how my desire to become an event planner came from my senior project in high school.

How to Build Your Personal Brand

The main idea behind this post was to show you all my creative side. Being a marketing major I figured that was important to let you know that I can find unique ways to present a topic or sell myself. I also though it was important to pull some information from another article because I do not know everything there is to know about branding now should I. Knowing that there is always someone smarter than you and not being afraid to look towards those people is a belief I 100% stand by.

3 Reasons Why You Should Have A Personal Brand

Here I wanted to let you guys in on some of my favorite companies and ones that I think do a fantastic job of staying on top in their industry. To keep it short, I am a HUGE LuluLemon fan. I am a HUGE Yankee Candle Fan. And I am a HUGE Coca-Cola fan. Not much more to say other than I wanted to show some appreciation to some of my favorite brands that I think everyone should try to learn from (or buy from, whichever you like).

2 Candidates Walk into an Interview

I hope everyone got a little chuckle out of the title of this one, that’s what I was going for. I wanted to tie in my humorous side (maybe lack thereof), but also throw out some pretty realistic points. Something small in this was the way each interviewer was dresser, but for me this is huge. I always dress professional in an interview or business event, but in a way that in unique to me and says something about myself.

This is just a little recap on everything I have been talking about over the past couple of weeks, and if this is your first time on my blog, please go back and read my other posts and leave your comments below! For my returners, I hope this gave you a little more insight on why I write what I write, and maybe this has sparked you to start your own blog to help brand yourself. Or maybe recommend to your company to start a blog to reach their audience better. Blogging is a great way to show people who you are or who your company is!

Great recap! I'm also a fan of coca cola. Ive cut back on soda drinking but the way they brand themselves as a complement to so many things has led to great campaigns!
